[Request] Modify smoke grenade duration

Howdy r/globaloffensive.

I take a asking for valve. Would it be possible to add together a control that will allow the server operator to change the duration that fume grenades are popped for?

This would be useful for teams that are training and learning smokes, as right at present, if someone fails it takes a while to reset.

On that subject, would it be possible to take sv_grenade_trajectory work online, and have the coloured lines friction match the histrion colour?

If you are the admin, you can apply

                  bind "key" "rcon toggle host_timescale 7 1"                                  

to speed up time to make the smoke vanish faster.

Y'all could always apply decoys, they have the aforementioned trajectory every bit a smoke grenade and they don't generate smoke.

Merely yes a server command for this would be extremely helpful, especially for the smokes that don't have to travel very far.

Yes the only problem with using anything other than a smoke is that you can't tell how well your smoke filled in the area. Like if you were practicing smoking off CT/Elevator from Long, you want to know that where you put your smoke really blocks off cantankerous

If you take access to rcon on your server, you can turn sv_cheats on and so apply:

r_drawparticles 0

to turn the smoke effect off. Then if you want to see how successful it was, plow r_drawparticles dorsum on and it'll show the smoke. I have it spring to "," for 1 and "." for 0. You tin can also bindtoggle information technology, simply I did this in the spur of the moment.

Really, smashing idea. I've had a couple friends in a listen server w/ me going over smokes & strats on Seaside (hehehehe) and after a handful of grenades it doesn't look pretty :p

Grenade trajectory doesn't piece of work for the other players if y'all host the map locally and so they/I have ti check the smoke afterward every throw...information technology gets hard keeping rail of which smokes were in that location and which smokes you threw.

Just use decoys tbh. Utilise decoys and practise the throw a couple times. And so throw a smoke. if it doesn't land where u want information technology throw some more decoys to practice then throw a smoke when ur comfy. Waiting fifteen seconds or so for a smoke isn't that fourth dimension consuming.
